You need a scanner to scan the photos. I have a canon scanner and it works pretty well. That printer does not scan photos. it just prints them.

GT-S3670 trying to download photos onto my computer using san disk

Hello there,

If the scan disk already have the photo on it, then it is easy to download pictures from it to your computer, all you need to do so is a scan disk trans flash adapter also known as the memory card reader. You will insert your memory card into the scan disk if it is the small memory card. then you connect the scan disk into the computer through the SD slot on the computer and then the computer will read its drivers and then you can open file to view folders on the memory card. from there you will be able to transfer your pictures to the computer.

If your computer does not have the SD slot, then you can use the USB type of memory card reader to carry out the operation.

Thank you for using fixya.

I love my new scanner, but everytime I scan a new photo, the ones on the disc load again into my computer. Is there any way to just load the new photos as I scan as I already have them on my hard drive.

The software that came with this scanner doesn't mark or tag any existing photos as having been read or viewed, and will upload all photos on the storage disk every time you connect it. The software's also not that easy to use when it comes to moving/deleting files. Here's what I do:

- With the scanner connected to your computer, view the device's storage disk in My Computer/Computer in Windows, or Finder in OSX
- Find the old images on the disk; look for a folder labeled DCIM and open it
- From here, you can cut and paste the images to wherever you'd like on your computer, or you can delete them permanently off your scanner

How do i scan a document from my c3180?

Here are the steps to scan documents to your computer

1. Turn on your computer, wait for it to boot up, then turn on your printer.
2. Locate the " HP Photo and Imaging Director " icon on your computer and double click it.
This icon was placed there when you installed your printer.
3. After double clicking on the icon, a menu screen will appear showing the scanning options
available on your C3180 printer.
4. Place your document or picture on the printer's glass top and close the lid.
5. Click on the appropriate selection from the menu screen ( Scan Document or Scan Picture )
6. The scanning process will now take place. The scanner will make two passes. The first pass
will allow you to judge the accuracy of the scan and to make changes, if necessary, from your.
monitor. The second pass is the acceptance of the document/picture to the computer.
7. Scanned documents can be viewed in the " My Documents " folder, scanned pictures can be
viewed in the HP Photo Gallery and the My Pictures folder.

I hope this was of help to you.

HOW TO USE THE SCANNER FEATURE ON THE HP PCS 950

You can start a scan from your computer or from your HP PSC. 1 Load your original.
2 Press Scanner, then press PC Save, if not already lit. This saves the scan to your computer.
3 Press Black or Color. For Windows, a scan of the original appears in the HP Image Viewer. For Macintosh, a scan of the original appears in the HP Workplace. In the HP Image Viewer, you can edit the scanned image. When you are done viewing the image, click Accept.
The HP PSC does a final scan of the original and sends the image to the HP Photo View Center in Windows. In the HP Photo View Center, you can:
- edit images, including adding text
- creative printing
- create and print photo albums
- send to fax, e-mail, web page, or other programs.

Scanning start problem

You need to have the scanning software running first, I use Picaso that comes with some windows.. You open the scan software and tell it what you are scanning and if it sees the scanner you can scan from the computer. If the software doesn't open when you press the scan button you may not have compatible software on your computer.
