My Emerson 32" HD Digital TV. It is not much more then a year old. Sometimes it will power on just fine, which is very rare, but it happens. Most of the time it stays in standbye mode with the red light on and when the power button is pushed it flashes green (power on) twice and then switches back to red and stays in stanbye you can push the power button over and over again and it only turns green twice then switches back. I have left my television unplugged for days at a time and it doesn't fix it can you help. What is wrong is it worth fixing? Can I do it myself??
The 6 inverter transformers on the bottom of the picture is the problem and what need to be tested.
Unplug the 6 wires that goes to the LCD screen. Use a multimeter to test for resistance from each output plug on the board. The one without the resistance is the bad one.
If this doesn't locate the bad one this way, Each plug should give out DC voltage if working properly. Test each plug for voltage.
The TV will automatically turn off in a couple of seconds like before. You'll have to keep pushing the power button to test each output plug for voltage.
Soon as you find the bad Inverter Transformer, just solder in a new one and the TV should work fine after that.
The part # for the Inverter Transformer is LTZ2PC0MS008.
Here's two places to get them:

Try turning off the power saving feature on the set- may be a software problem.

The model number is LC320EM8AN. It does not even power on to say digital. If I leave it off for several days it will come on every once in a while. If I push power right as i plug it in it will flash the green light 8-9 times before going to red/stanbye. At this point any time the power button is pushed as I said before it flashes approximately three times goes to red. I can push this many times in a row with the same resultss green green green then red. It does nothing more. No screen images no nothing, but when it does power on it flashes green several times then you can see it gearing up. THen I see digital something and it works great, but as soon as I shut it off it won't turn right back on. I just weight and miraculously it will work every once and a while.
Please let me know what i need to do to fix it and how expensive it will be. Thankyou very much!!
I don't have any training, but seem to be decent at following instructions. ANy help is greatly appreciated. Maybe you could instruct me on exactly what part to get and how to go about the install. Thnaks so much.

or
Thank You I just needto make sure to buy the right part and then if you can give me instructions on how to install or even fix...if that is possible the old part that would be great. Thank you
The green light will flash when I turn on the TV. "Digital Television" flashes on and off with a set of lines that look like a barcode flashing on the screen, moving down the screen a little every few times it flashes. After about 20-30 seconds the TV goes back to standby. Have unplugged it for an hour and plugged it back on with no change.
sorry went on vacation, but the number on my board is BA71F0F01041 I have attached some pictures of my board hoping that you might know what I can do to fix it or figure out what went wrong with it, because a new board is really expensive. Thanks for all your help.
I'm having trouble finding the Service Manual for your TV. They may have not released it yet. So, I'm not sure about repairing the board unless is the same inverter board as mine.
The second picture is a backlight inverter board.
You'll have to open up the back side of the TV by removing the big cover. Remove the stand for the TV by removing the four screws in the middle. Then remove all the screws around the sides and some times there is one screw near the input ports for the TV. Remove the cover.
The backlight inverter board should be right there. There should be white letters in one of the corners of the board. Like BA71F0F01042 for example.
What is your board number?
I think I can help you out here. The common problem with the Emerson TV is the Inverter Board. It's what's powers up your LCD screen. The blinking green light happens when the TV is powering up the screen. If it's not working properly, it will automatically turn itself off to prevent further damage. They call this Protection Mode.
Do you have an experience working on Electronics?
Taking electronic stuff apart, like a computer or anything electronic?
What model number is the TV?
Does it say "DIGITAL TELEVISION" for about 2 seconds then shut off?
Is your TV still under warranty?
