Hi,

Along with the service light, are you getting any fault codes with it (like EC and a number)? Under normal conditions, this would mean the the unit as a whole is running too much and needs to be cleaned. If cleaned and this is still an issue, you may need a certified person to look for cooling issue that only the computer is seeing. This can happen in a unit the is about 10-15 years old, normally in the fridge section. Do you have a ice ball or frost on the the back wall of the fridge section around the meat slide shelf? this would b a tell - tell sign of a cooling issue. If in doubt, call SubZero dIrectly at 800-888-7820 ask for a certified dealer to take care of you. Not every service company can work on the SubZero unit. (You want certified!)

I hope this helps.

No ice

The service light flashing usually indicates that there is a rise in the temperature of the machine, most likely caused by either the condensor coils being dirty or the condensor fan motor not running, either of which cause the compresor to run hotter than normal. The ice maker itself won't operate if the temperature rises above 10 degrees F, which is still well below freezing but its a fail safe to prevent flooding in the machine. I would take off the removeable grate and check the coils and clean them before I call anyone.

Kennmore refrigerator is not making ice,but water

The control light flashes to indicate the infrared beam is being blocked. The flap on the opposite side blocks the beam when the door is open to prevent ice from being dropped on the floor rather than in the ice bin. If you pushe the flap in so it's flush with the liner (use care not to block the hole) the light should go from flashing to on in a steady state. If not, your electronics are bad and would need to be replaced. If the light does glow steady, then the problem is with your ice maker, water valve or ice maker fill tube.

Icemaker not working- red light flashes constantly

The red light should flash twice , pause then flash twice constantly . If you close the flap on the left side , then the light should go off . This shows the optics (ice maker cut off ) are good .

Check the black tube ( fill tube ) , which puts water into the ice maker , to see if it is iced inside . If so , then the water valve behind the refrig is bad . It seeps into the tube and freezes , blocking the water flow .

Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If it freezes and dumps , then the water valve needs replaced . If it doesn't dump , and stays frozen in the ice maker , replace the ice maker . Also , make sure the coils under the front of the refrig are clean , as this will cause warmer temp in the freezer and the ice maker needs 5 degrees to operate .

Sub-Zero service manual

Here is a link to the error codes. If there is a fault condition these should be flashing on the display:

http://fixitnow.com/wp/2006/06/29/error-codes-for-the-sub-zero-600-series-refrigerators/

One this to try is a hard reset: unplug and wait for a few minutes and re-plug back in. Sometime this resets the service condition and will then display the error codes.

Ice is displayed when the ice maker is turned on. Press the ice on/off and it should turn off.

Inside unit not blowing air

The flashing light may be a diagnostic light. So count the sequence of flashing lights and write the number down like this example. Short(flash),Short(flash), Long(flash) Long(flash), Long(flash.

Usually on the other side of the blower compartment door there is a list of possible failures that will coincide with the number of flashes.

My guess is that the system is low on refrigerant. This has caused ice to form on the evaporator coil that is above the furnace. The ice will block the air from moving through it.

You will need an EPA certified technician to recharge the system and locate the leak. Make sure to shut off the A/C and allow it to thaw before he/she arrives to services it.

There are other possibilities but this one is probably the most common. Good Luck!

U-Line Model ULN-CLR60B-00

call 1-800-779-2547, U-Line's tech support.

Has to be a bad a switch, wiring issue or maybe a control board. pull the service cover and see if the red light is lit on the board (or flashing). Light on (no flashing) indicates the board is powered up and no errors are occurring.
