Sometimes even a brand new battery can be bad. If it does not charge from your PC or straight from a Charger I would suspect the battery.

I have a polaroid i634 that has an issue with power. Initially I put in alkaline batteries and it worked for awhile (or at least as long as my daughter used it). Then it stopped working. I was told to use...

Hello ..
I hope that really problem with charging.
However, it look like cause from battery. Whatever type of new battery that you used, that no meet the requirement as original battery that included with camera. During testing the camera, they also don't use other battery except that original battery. Maybe it seem like have same power, But it chemistry is different. However, you can try using same battery from polaroid also.

TRy look this..click here
I don't want to scare you, but is good to have new battery same like original and also from same company. As long you are using other type battery, It maybe will effect components in camera. So beware and careful.

If you think that charging is problem. THen try recharge back around 8hours. However if u are using external charger. and not using camera to charge battery. If you only can charge through camera, try recharge around 2-3 hours. Pull out battery from camera. place safely and avoid any magnectic environment . Around 2-1 hours, charge again 2-3 hours. After charge, around 10-15 minutes, try used it. It still have problem? If still face same problem. I advice to find suitable battery.

2003 protege5 wont start unless jumped and dies after about 30 seconds.

Need to check battery condition first. Is it the original battery? If yes chances are it needs to be replaced. May have a dead cell or 2 & will not hold a charge. When it ran before this, was the check battery/charging light on? Also verify charging system is working correctly.

My battery dies yesterday, when I try to cherge it...

Hi, when a message comes up like that, it means your battery is not original and does not work with any charger. You need to replace the battery with an original battery before it will charge.

Take care.

I own a 1 year old Dell Studio 1535. Its original battery died, so I purchased a generic one online. When I turned on the laptop with the battery only (not plugged in), it said battery not recognized,but...

Hi,
A generic Battery should Work fine.
Try going To my computer/Control Panel/Power options.
You should find a battery Icon, for the Battery if it,s recognised in there. select ( show on Desktop ) And refresh The Battery.
New Batteries usually require to be fully charged. Then Discharged ( no-Mains Power ) for the first 3-4 Charges. So that the Computers power Management System, Can guage the Capacity Of The battery Inserted.

Microtalks won't charge

I have the Cobra Microtalk 4100 FRS radios with charging base. After changing the batteries with new nimh rechargables the charge light would not illuminate and the unit would not charge. I noticed the original batteries had a metal band around one end. This band makes a small connection inside the battery compartment on the first battery. Seems to be a cheap way to ensure you dont try to recharge the unit with non-rechargable batteries installed. I rapped a small piece of tinfoil around one end of the first battery in the new set then popped it back in and now they will charge correctly again. Dont try this with non-rechargable batteries! I would recomend buying original replacement batteries.

New battery not charging

It is normal for a battery to degrade after a year since its a consumable part. It's just like any ordinary rechargeable battery. We have 2 points of failure that might be causing the problem. First the battery itself. Second the Charge board that charges and detects the battery. Given that the NON-DELL battery is working on other dell Computer, it simply tells us that it is the charge board that needs to be replaced wich is integrated to the motherboard. If your warranty is still active, call dell and tell them that you've tried a Known good battery and its still not charging. However, you might also consider that dell computers are designed for dell batteries. the charge board might have problems charging the third party battery since its not configured to do so.

hope this helps.
