First look up your TV code in the manual (link below). Some TVs are manufactured by another company, so you can try codes for the manufacturer's TVs as well. Funai makes a number of brands (including Emerson); your TV manual may indicate the manufacturer.
Then turn on your TV, if possible. Then press and hold Set (just below the LED) until the LED blinks twice. Enter a four-digit code with less than 10 seconds between key presses. Press the Power button and check if the tv turns off (or on). If the TV does not respond, try a different code. When the TV responds, check if the other functions of the remote work.

Please note that the manual for this remote has a copywrite date of 2002. Most universal remotes are limited to codes for devices released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. If your TV is newer than your remote, you may need a new remote.
