Chest freezer lid won't fully close..

The lid has been twisted. Adjusting the hinge will not correct the problem. Try reversing the damage by putting the lid in the reverse position to bend it back. That is block up the good side and put the weight on the high corner.

The needle and arm just slide all the way to the end of the record. What can I do? Thanks!!

The cause of that is a completely worn out stylus! Or if you have replaced it or it is good, then there is not enough weight on the stylus. You can adjust this by adjusting the weight control on the end of the arm. Try 1.5 to start with, then test a record. If it stays in the groove and doesn't rumble then you are good. If it doesn't stay in the grooves increase the weight by a small amount and test again. Keep repeating this till it stays in the groove and doesn't rumble. If it rumbles decrease the weight.

I have a Technics sl-b2 with a Shure N97ED cartridge and I CANNOT figure out how to get the tonearm in the right spot? When I get it level or even slightly sloped toward the cartridge it seems to bounce...

To get the stylus to stay in the groove but not have too much weight is a question of trial and error. Having too much weight applied will cause the record to rumble, too little and it will skate across the record.
Start by looking up the typical weight of the cartridge. If you have the box or instructions it will say the typical grams to set it at. Or you can look up the specifications online of the cartridge.
On the end of the tone arm is the weight with numbers on set it to the one specified by the cartridge. Then you test a record - best done with headphones. If the record plays ok without jumping and no rumble then it's good. If it jumps - stop - increase the weight by a slight amount only and try again. Repeat till the problem stops. If it rumbles, then decrease the weight as before slightly and repeat till it stops.

How do I stop needle skating

There are two reasons this will happen first the stylus is so worn it can't stay in the record groove. The second is there is not enough pressure being applied. Generally each cartridge will have it's own required weight. You can look up the model number of the cartridge to see what this is. To set it right however is sometimes a trial and error procces. At the end of the arm is a weight. You should see some numbers on it. You turn this to the number advised for the cartridge. This might be around 1.5 to 2. Then you try a record. If it stays in the groove and there's no rumble sound then you have right. If it's not staying in the groove increase the weight from say 1.5 to 1.8 and retry. Keep doing this till it stays in the groove. If you get to much rumble decrease the weight - again slowly and test like before.

The hose head keeps falling away from the unit. It should stay pushed in

Has no hose weight or not heavy enough weight on hose under sink. either buy a weight and install on hose about 18" from the bottom of sink. or you can use a 3 ounce fishing sinker with bread tie and tie it around hose aprroximately 18" from bottom of sink. It needs the weight to keep the faucet head in.

1210 tone arm won't stay down. When I unscrew the

Check the point where the arm piviots, maybe a screw has come loose. Depending on the type of cartridge it should track at 3 to 4 grams.

Doesn't stay flush to bottom, good suction, if I hold front portion down it works great!

It's most likely a piece of debris in your flapper of your automatic pool cleaner. Debris may prevent flapper movement or restrict flow. You might also want to check for proper hose balance. The hose should stay at a 45 degree angle to the pool floor. If it is greater than a fourty five degree angle, the hose is too light. Move the weights closer to cleaner, or move the first two weights closer to each other. If it is less than a 45 degree angle, move the weights away from cleaner, or separate the first
two weights away from each other.
