overvoltage (OVP). Possible causes: IC501 is faulty (G board), IC5002
is faulty (G board). Symptoms of the problem: TV has entered standby

Go into Setup menu and look for speaker settings, make sure "speakers ON" is selected. If you still have a problem, post makes and models of any connected equipment. Hope this helps
Sony KDP-65WS550 is rear projection TV that has 3 picture tubes inside. Let me know what bulb you are asking for help? It is not DLP TV that has ballast Lamp for back light.
This can be as simple as poor solder connections at the convergence ICs or defective ICs. If you can solder you can fiz this yourself. Let me know if you wish to attempt the repair and I'll suply additional details and instructions.
Nothing appears to be available from Sony on that issue. Sorry! t sounds like you may be getting some kind of interference. What make
and model of surge protector/line conditioner are you using? Have you tried unplugging the set for say 20 seconds after the set has
been turned off and the fans have stopped? It just may stop the
problem.
When you say the you see lines throughout the screen, are they uniformly spaced vertical lines of random colors?
