Green screen Was playing fine, shut down and turned on later to play, only get green screen none of games will play

  • Anonymous May 12, 2009

Okay, I have noooo idea what's happening...My PS3 was working perfectly fine a couple days ago, and now, it has a weird issue...When I turn it on, it looks fine(sometimes, nothing shows up), and then, when I play music, movies, view pictures, or even play games, and go on the internet, the screen gets pixelated, then green squares start appearing out of nowhere, the system freezes, and everything is useless. I've heard this issue with HD, but I'm using standard def, and I've tried everything short of taking the thing apart. Is there anything I should, or CAN do? Or should I just say "screw it", and give it to games stop?

Make sure you are on the correct channel thats tuned in, that the connections between the console and the tv are all seated firmly and make sure there are no bent pins or anything like that if any of the connectors have pins also what connector type are you using ? HDMI if so try a different hdmi port on your tv ?

My Xbox 360 is fuzzy and has green dots all over the screen

I doubt it's the 360 since everything else is working just fine. The menu works fine, the game works fine. However if you downloaded one of these maps from the marketplace it may be corrupt, and you will have to delete and re-download the map pack.

Ds top screen turns white then shuts off.

Hi,
the cables need to be inserted Fully And squarely/evenly.
Also ensure The Tabs are locked Down correctly.
If none of this Works, you may have a blown On-Board Fuse.
I believe these Are Known As F1 And F2.

Xbox 360 shuts down on its own

This is a built in temperature overheating contermeasure. Make sure your xbox is not in an enclosed area or on a carpet. If posssible, place a fan next to it and see if that gets you increased playtime. If it does, then you know its a problem with it overheating.

Is this only playing a specific game? Every Game? Demos? Listening to Music? Watching Dvds?

Playing a game puts the most stress on the 360.

Maybe the Nintendo Wii overheated because you played with it for too much. Give it a rest and go back to it later.
