SOURCE: my light works works from the siwtch but my fan will not come on.
Have you changed the batteries?
If they are low on power you may get an Led to light up but not a strong enough signal to operate the fan
SOURCE: I need a hunter remote control unit part
This particular Hunter remote control unit has been known to have interference issues for some time now. It is very suceptible to picking up other transmissions, such as those from TV remotes, etc.
If you're having intermittent operation of the fan and/or light, you can try setting different codes for both the receiver and the remote.
That being said, the best source for a replacement unit is directly from Hunter, since you might also still be under warranty you might get it replaced for free, if you remembered to fill out and mail the warranty card!
Of course, if you just want to replace a lost or broken remote, give them a call and order one (or two and have a spare!).

SOURCE: HUNTER ceiling fan remote works with fan but not light
Unfortunately, you either have a faulty reciever or remote. A replacement will cost $30-$40 at homedepot. And it doesn't matter which is faulty because you can't purchase them seperately anyhow.

SOURCE: Hunter ceiling fan remote 85095-01 stopped working
it also could be one of the the jumpers fell out of the remote
they are located just above the battery. you will need to match the placement of the jumpers with the receiver mounted in the fan.
SOURCE: light on my ceiling fan works but the fan does not
