Start taking it apart & figure your going to be

I have a 1989 chevy truck, 350 motor, overheats when a/c is on. Run's at a normal temperature when a/c is off. Any suggestions?

Another possibility is a restriction in air flow thru the radiator. The condenser puts extra heat thru the radiator with the ac on.

The heater, which is only about a month old, is making an excessive splashing sound. I understand that water is flowing over coils, but it wasn't this noisy during the first weeks. Is this normal?

The only 'splashing' you could hear from a heater is air being pushed thru the system. Is your pump basket full of air bubbles? Are you getting air bubbles at the returns in the pool? If so, the noise is from the air going thru the heater...fix the air leak at the pump suction line back to the water inlets to the pump and the noise should cease.

If there is no air you should probably get ahold of a warranty rep to ensure the noise is not from a stuck bypass valve in the heater or improper water connections / poor plumbing hook-up.

My washer fills and runs tru the washing cycle then stops. It won't go thru any other cycles, won't spin and does not make any noise. Is it the timer?

Does it drain?? If not then you need to replace the pump. The pump drains the water hence allowing the spin cycle to engage. Sorry for the bad news.

Washers fine but doesnt drain water and go to rinse cycle

Check the drain hose may be kinked. Washers have been known to eat socks, they go in to the the tub during the spin cycle and down in the pump. If you are so inclined to look dome pumps are clear and you can see the sock. There is a hose clamp to remove and you may be able to remove the sock. Reassemble and test. Remember as always to unplug the washer first before doing any work. This exploded view has a washer and if you hover over the bottom right it will show what the pump looks like.

Washer has started making a heck of racket during the drain/spin cycle. It's not consistant. Two loads may go thru ok no noise. A third load and it will make a very loud grinding chain like noise.

Grinding noises are most often the result of a failing water pump. The noise can increase during the spin\drain cycle due to the added load on the pump. Although less likely it could also be the drive belt rubbing on something or a pulley bearing failing. If you are able to locate and remove the drive belt, you should be able to turn the water pump pulley by hand. If the pump does not turn smoothly it is bad.

Think Pump or boiler broken as water doesn't flow through

If you cannot get hot water from machine(brew unit or steam valve), then there is something wrong with boiler elements.
If water won't flow thru coffee(pump is not vibrating) and you've tried adjusting the grind to a coarser setting, then you will have to replace the pump($50).
However, since no water is going thru machine and it does not heat up then the problem might be the board or the inline fuse on the machine.

Water won't pump

yes,,, it is the water fill valve,, when it started to go bad the noises where from the pump, then it got quite now it is gone,, make sure you turn off the water supply before removing the unit,, only reason I am saying this is that I have even seen plumbers not turn off the water supply because they don't have hater goning thru and forget that why they are taking it out lol
