Okay the problem is that randomly my monitor turns its self off and when it does the little blue on light it flashes dull blue, then light blue until it comes back on. now so far as i can tell it only does it when im using my PC input. im not using HDMI im using RGB. it does it a lot when i play games. any ideas?

the game will need to be set to the same screen resolution as your monitor or the best that suits, beccause of it being widescreen, so look in the graphic or video settings in the game, or change the resolution of your monitor to suit the games highest setting. This is done by right clicking on your desktop, down to properties and then the settings tab in the next window and then move the slider at the screen resolution box.

ok, get to the event where you get this to happen "...then turn it back on the monitor does come on normally...", but just after power-up, press the F8 key to go to safe mode. If nothing visible, press ENTER anyway...get to safe mode yet?

I have the exact same problem myself that just happened today. It apparently happens about a month or two after the warranty expires ;) I have 2 on my desk and one of them just stopped working. It is obviously a hardware problem and cannot be fixed without sending it back to the factory. They quote $65 for labor plus shipping. I might just go in the junk pile and I'll have to buy another.

Hi...there,
It's seems you got a busted AD Board... your LCD bios had been damaged or erased.

First you need to check the cable at both ends, inside and out. Make sure it is plugged in, to the proper connector and that there aren't any bents pins. Now put this monitor on another computer, a laptop will do. Does it come on now? If so then your video card in your machine is bad. If still bad then the monitor has lost it's signal input. This will have to be repaired by a pro. I repair these all the time and it's not as expensive as you might think.
