SOURCE: GWL-11 Fisher Paykel wont turn on and water on the floor
Look at my issue "eco smart won't drain, smells hot". Mine is top load.
If you see puddle on floor and eventually won't run at all and smell electric burn motor, it could be same issue I had.
Unplug washer. Tip washer back. If you see water dripping through the black motor area, you need to remove the black motor and the white plastic unit above it. Look for a white plastic clip that is attached to bottom of washing machine. Push that clip with your finger and twist the whole plastic unit/black motor. It all comes off in one piece.
Look on side of this unit and you will see 120V or 240V. Mine is GWL10US and is older model. Was told by repairman that new units use 120V. That is what you need to order. It comes as one piece and you just twist it back on. I had done most of this. Repairman came and 5 seconds cost me $65.
SOURCE: how many pumps in washer gwl-11 F&P?
It's the same pump but, the click you hear between cycles is a solenoid switching between hoses. Chances are-you have a buildup of debris at the inlet of the pump. I've removed baby socks from them already.

Hi just read your posting.Try this,Put a couple of books under each foot of the machine high enough so you can look under the machine at the pump. Now select a spin mode and push the start button.Does the pump turn on its own?Where is your machine draining the water to,Is it into the laundry sink or some place else. Please reply with this additional information and this will help me in diagnosing this fault for you.Looking forward to your reply.
The top load washer utilizes a pressure switch attached to a clear plastic hose. If the water fills the tub but will not stop filling you will need to remove the top panel and inspect the hose for obstructions. You may need to disconnect the tube flush it clean and make sure no foreign debris are in the connector on the pressure switch. If the tub will over fill, you may need to replace the pressure switch. If the water will not fill the tub and the water continues to run you need to check the drain pump. Is water exiting through the drain hose? If so the drain pump could be the problem.
