Reset samsung p1000

You may need to do hard reset.
You didn't say make / model.
Here's an example:

try doing a factory reset. found in the settings menu, then see if that helps

sounds like it could do with a full reset.

if that fails then go to the play store and download the samsung kies app. then also install the samsung kies program onto your laptop or computer. link the p1000 to the computer and see if there is an available update for the software.
samsung have said they did release one, the device when it came out was running on the FROYO software, and im sure they have a update to the jellybean but thats as far as they are going with this device

Press and hold the power and volume +/- buttons.

1. With the device off, press and hold Volume Up and Power.

2. Release the Power button when you see the Samsung logo, but continue to hold Volume Upuntil the recovery screen appears.

3. Use the Volume buttons to navigate the menu and select wipe data / factory reset. PressHome to choose the selection.

4. Press Volume Up continue.

The Galaxy Tab should then go through the hard reset process.

If you have access to the OS, you can also perform a hard reset in Settings.

1. Open the Settings app.

2. Select Privacy.

3. Choose Factory data reset.

ANDROID 3.0 IS AN DIFFERENT O/S ALTOGETHER AS IT REQUIRES DUAL CORE PROCESSORS.
