I have had 2 apple id (old) not used for a lng time, but when I go to update apps those two come up. I do not remember the passwords for either hence I cannot update. How do I fet around this?
I'm assuming you have already used iForgot etc to reset your password first or that you no longer have that email..
Go to settings, scroll down to itunes /App store.
Click on your apple ID. and you will get some options such as IForgot to send a new password etc. If you truly cannot get your password, then click Signout. Then you will be able to create a new one when you try to register, you may need to create a new email account if your apple id was linked to your old one. Your old apps that will not update, you can delete them by holding your finger on them till they wiggle and click the X. then redownload with your new ID. Hope this helps.
You have to manage your iTunes account in iTunes. Follow these instructions to change account information.
You can change your Apple ID name, password, or billing information at any time.
Choose Store > View My Apple ID, and sign in.
Click Edit.
Make your changes, and click Done.
Your changes take effect immediately.
If you also use your Apple ID in other apps, you don't need to update your information in those apps. The changes you make in iTunes apply to all apps in which you use your Apple ID.
If you have an AOL account, changes you make in iTunes don't affect your AOL account on the AOL service. For example, if you change your password in iTunes, the password you use to log in to the AOL service doesn't change.
