Ac/dc adaptor model tad-8

The AC adaptor goes into the AC socket, NOT the computer connection. The Computer connection is DC and comes from the DC side of the Adaptor. If you mean the DC socket has broken, then you need someone to replace it inside the computer.
If the AC adaptor has failed, you can buy a replacement ( 19V 3.16A 60W AC Adapter).

just make sure the specs for the replacement plug is correct:
AC ADAPTER
input: 110-115V 60Hz
output: 12V 500mA
pin size that plugs into the unit ~ 9mm or a bit tad over 3/16"
with that adaptor, it takes up to 36 hours to charge it up to FULL
with a comparable DC adapter, it takes only 8-10 hours

u just see the body print label where mentioned 9Volts DC, 2Amps. u can change with any adapter maintain this ratings, another things is connector jack configuration must be same (out side - & inside of the jack is +) if any mistack dvd will damage. hope u get the answer.

Walmart buys from small electronics companies and puts it under the Durabrand name. Very Sneaky. The company that makes the DVD player is called Lenoxx. There website is www.lenoxx.com. Here is the rest of their contact info.
