I have a cect i9+ phone. I can view photos I take with the camera on the image viewer; however, I can not view any pictures I downloaded from my PC with the image viewer. Is there a way to view photos I download from my computer in the image viewer?
When you plug yourphone to the computer you should have two extra drives open up.one will be your phone one will be your memory card. you have to find the photos or fmy photos older, you must have them in the correct folder. when you go to your image viewer, make sure it is set up to either look in the folder for your phone or memory card depending on which folder you put the pictures in.

There are four possible reasons that this could happen, so you need to do some tests to diagnose which one it is.
1. It could be that you shot some photos in "RAW" and the photo viewer is not capable of decoding raw images. (You should have a digtal developing software such as LightRoom for this, or installing the right Canon software might include the decoder that allows other programs to access it.) To test for this, check the full name of the files; if you can read all the .JPG files, but none of the .CR2 files, this is your problem.
2. It could be that your card is corrupting the data. To check for this, try a different card. (Any card will work for photos.)
3. Failing the other two, either the camera is producing corrupted data, or your image viewer is not capable of reading them. To discern which, try a different image viewer. If you don't want to install one, upload it to a photo sharing site, or just view it in your browser (you can drag and drop).
my cect i9 was not charging from usb I though it was the cable but after I took out battery and scrapped the 3 contacts on the batttery with my fingernail it started to charge and be recognized by computer again
There are different settings. You can view the past photos because you are using the viewer for that, but you have a setting off in the menu. You need to turn on view photo or preview photo after picture taken.
I am not sure what it is in the Canon line, but look in your manual for the setting.
I'm sorry to say that that guy is wrong because the CECT i9 does have java depending on who you purchase it from. If you want proof go on youtube and look at some videos of people actually downloading java games to their phone.
I just got one of these and was having the same problem. What you have to do is create a folder within the DCIM folder on the memory card (you can name it 100Media). The photos have to go into the 100media folder. Good LUCK.
