If you cannot get volume control on you tube or any other apps your 30 pin connector( where you plug your charging cord in) needs to be cleaned. Take a tooth brush with some rubbing alcohol and clean it. May have to repeat a few times but that'll solve your problem

When you're on the youtube video, there should be a slider at the bottom to change volume level, or you can use the volume buttons located on the upper left side of the iPad, or you can double click your home button very quickly, then swipe the task bar twice to the right, which will also bring up a volume control.

Playback error in youtube

Some YouTube videos are using flash encoding, since iPad does not support flash, some videos on YouTube won't work. Just watch that video on a PC or from an android device and it will work. There is nothing wrong with your iPad or the video, it's just not supported.

The easiest way to view YouTube videos on the iPad is to download the YouTube app from the iTunes store.

My ematic genesis prime will not allow me to watch YouTube videos. I can go on the app but whenever select a video the sound comes on but the video itself is just a black screen. Any ideas?

Go into the app settings and uninstall any updates. I made the mistake of allowing Google Play to automatically update all my apps, and it updated the Youtube app in the process. The result was exactly as you describe: a black screen in place of the picture. Once the Youtube app was rolled back to the factory default version, it started working properly.

My youtube converted videos will not play , I only get sound, why?

The android tablet supports playing MPEG-4, WAVE, H.263, Ogg Vorbis, MP3, AAC+, AMR-NB, H.264, AAC, Adobe Flash, WMA, AMR-WB, Enhanced AAC+, MIDI. (according to its official website)
So, please convert Youtube videos to one of them above. Youtube videos are always downloaded in .flv. Here is a FREE FLV to Video Converter for you, in which you can set the codec by yourself.

Cannot play utube on new ipad

In fact, iPad can't support flash player, so you can't watch YouTube video on iPad directly, If you want to finish it, you should depend on some Youtube app. Or you also can download the YouTube video with Aneesoft free Youtube downloader and than converting the Flv(Youtube video format) to Mp4 or Mov with Aneesoft free FLV video converter. At last, you can sync the videos to iPad.
I recommend a paid software which can help you solving this. Aneesoft Youtube converter!
