SOURCE: Frigidaire Front loading washer error codes E41 and E20

Hi
E20 is a drainage error. If there is water in the drum make sure the discharge pipe at the back of the machine is not kinked or blocked. You should also check the pump filter is not clogged - this is behind the front panel underneath the drum at the front of the machine.

E41 = Control board thinks the door switch is open. This points towards a faulty door switch on the machine.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Many thanks.

Hi,

  • Get the washer laying on it's side and using the access hole on the bottom carefully remove the screw clamp holding the large hole of the rubber housing to the tub drain (it will be obvious all other clips are green compression clips).

  • Carefully work the strainer out of this flexible rubber drain housing through the large hole.Clean it out and replace you will be good to go. Also remove all the hoses and check for a buildup of gunk. Hope this will fix your problem.

SOURCE: E20 error on Kenmore front loader. The water is

E20 is an error code for drainage failure.

Check where the appliance drain hose connects to the house drains for a blockage.

If it's onto a spigot under the sink, take them off and check both for a blockage.

If these are ok then it's likely to be a blockage in the pump.

You'll need to drain the water out manually.

Put a shallow dish below the filter and slacken the filter.

Tighten it to stop the flow of water while you empty the dish.

Once empty, take the filter out, clean out the debris and ensure nothing is left jamming the pump.

Before refitting the filter, put the machine on drain or spin and listen at the filter housing to see if you can hear the pump running.

If you do, fit the filter and try the machine again.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Affinity Washer won't spin- E20

E20 = Clogged drain pump.

Tools I used: vice grips, both phillips and standard screw drivers, flash light and an 8mm socket with ratchet.

I solved this problem by removing the rear oval type cover by removing the 6 phillips screws that hold it on, but first thing is to unplug the machine! I unplugged the electrical connection going to the pump. Then I removed the hose closest to me by removing the pinch clamp with a pair of vice grips. Then I removed the two screws holding the pump down to the frame of the washer (8mm socket). Then I removed the farthest hose by removing the pinch clamp with the vice grips. Once this was done I took out the pump. The hose entering the pump contained a sock, debit card and thirty-five cents!

Once I removed all of the debris I reversed the order but this time I used an automotive hose clamp which makes re-assemble waaay easier!!! (Saves about 30 mins) Total repair time took me 1 hour, but if you use an aftermarket hose clamp instead of the pinch clamp on the hose coming into the pump this will save you at least 30 minutes because it is soo difficult to put back on because of the tight space.

One-hour, a minor cut and $2.35 for the clamps later all is fixed!

Error code e20

E20 is a draining error.
  1. First, try to reset the machine to factory settings first by setting cycle selector to off position for 5 sec, then to spin for 5 sec, then back to off for 5 sec, and then to spin. The machine should reset allowing you to select the drain cycle and get the water out of the machine then run a spin cycle to clear any remaining water before you unscrew the filter to clear it.
  2. Next, you need to take the filter out at the front, bottom right, of the machine, empty it of all lint and replace it. It may have water trapped in so be ready to soak up excess liquid! Also, make sure when you put it back in you have tightened it enough to avoid leaking but not too much that you cannot get it back out.
  3. If this doesn't fix the problem, check your drain pipe hoses to make sure they are not kinked and flush them out.
  4. Last but not least, replace the drain pump.

Want drain water out giving e20 error

Hi
Error code e20 means a clogged drain pump. This might have happened due to small clips, pins, coins, etc being stuck in the pump. Please note that error e20 can also occur when the drain pump is not pumping fast enough or when the pump fails. To fix the issue you'll need to check the drain pump.
Remove the 2 screws from the bottom of the front access panel, it will come off. Now check for the pump on the right side and remove hoses from it. Remove pump from machine then remove whatever is there in the pump. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

E20 ERROR CODE

Plug off the mains. First drain out all your water by lowering the exit hose into a bucket or drain. You have to look for screws below the front kick-panel, the panel comes down & out. The pump is on the right side. Be prepared for dirty water. Inside the big flexible tube (coming from the tub bottom) is the filter, be prepared to find all sorts of junk here, clean out. Examine your pump also, clean out the impeller. Carefully refit all. Your machine would be fine. Don’t wait for the machine to jam to look into your filter.
