Hotpoint Condensor dryer TCL780 2year old. Water is getting behind the heater cover and causing the dryer to trip the electrics. Condensor and filter cleaned and water emptied after every cycle. Tried drying with hair dryer, this fixes the problem, but 2 or 3 days later, the dryer trips the electrics again. When the heater cover is removed water has collected behind heater cover. The fan is rusty, and the entire unit is wet. The dryer works fine otherwise. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Keeps tripping the electric mains replaced element but still does it HOTPOINT

Try increasing the ampere rating of your breaker or remove other load(i.e. aircon unit, water heater, washing machine etc.) when dryer is connected so as not to overload your breaker that is causing mains to trip. If previously you are using the dryer with the same setup and loads maybe the breaker is the problem.

Condensed dryer keeps tripping out my electric when I turn it on

Disconnect from mains. Remove rear panel and water will probably come out. This water is being flung by the fan onto the heater hence tripping the electric.
cause of water being here is a blockage in the condenser stopping flow into water chamber or possibly but unlikely, failure of the pump

Dryer tripping RCD

Try disconnecting the heater and thermostats.
They are located behind a removeable cover at the rear of the dryer.
If it still trips, then the problem is likely to be more serious.
Hope this helps.

Hotpoint tc71 trips ele every time I turn it on

I would suspect that the heater or thermostat./s are the cause of the prob.
Remove rear cover, and disconnect the heater and stats, and try again.
If it still trips, then you probably have got something more serious to contend with.
Please rate my solution.
thanks.

Hotpoint ctd40g tumble dryer

If you are located in the u/k, then you should be covered by Hotpoint 5 year guarantee, all parts are free you pay for labour and call out.
It might be worth you checking the heater at the rear of the m/c located behind a removable panel. disconnect one of the wires going to the thermostat and try it , if it does not trip, then it could be heater, also you might have damp where heater is ,use hair dryer to dry it all, and make sure all your filters are clean, and that the water tank is empty.
Plz rate this solution.
Thanks.

Tumble dryer when switched on cuts power to all sockets in house

Hi.
Try it with the heater disconnected, you will find it at the rear of the m/c at the bottom left behind a removable panel.
You may have to remove the top cover and the right hand side panel looking at the m/c from the front. Try it again.
I fit does not trip. then your heater is faulty.
If it still trips then you are probably going to have to call en engineer

Hoover six tumble dryer runs for about 15 minutes then trips the electrics, condenser has been cleaned and water container is always emptied

usual cause is water being thrown by the fan onto the heater. after this has happened, remove cover over heater and see if water is present.
the water is there because the water path from condensor box to pump housing is blocked with lint
