When washing clothes my machine says oe and still has water in it

Hi, The OE code signifies that your LG washer is unable to drain the water out during wash cycle. This code can be triggered by a clogged drain pump filter or a drain hose that's kinked,

it could be that coins etc have blocked the pump or drain filter assembly, at the bottom right of the machine there is a panel, if you open this and follow the instructions to evacuate the machine of water, then open the cover behind it, and remove the filter assembly and clean it out maybe with an old tooth brush etc. and also the pump area
use a damp cloth to remove and grit etc from the thread and replace the cap securely, start the machine a new and watch for any leaks

Hi mine does exactly the same! I have to call in my washing machine technician more often (he told me this would happen with a top loader as opposed to a front loader, boy was he right!!) and he cleans out the drum. Mostly it is the fabric softener which is too thick. I water mine down to 50/50 and I do another spin after my final wash. I also empty the filter of water at the side/bottom of the machine. This annoying problem is caused by the way the drum turns on a top loader as opposed to the front loader. My top loader cannot heat water automatically either like a front loader, and I think this also adds to the problem as hot/boiling water would dissolve all that soap/fabric softener. OE is normally down to blocked drain pipes, mcalpine (connection under the sink) or a blocked front filter. empty the machine and unscrew the filter behind the flap at the bottom right hand side, check for any obstructions, icoins, hair grips etc are normally blocking here

OE is drain error..Most likely problem is partially blocked pump filter...This is accessed via the small door at floor level...Unscrew the pump cover and clear the filter..Any water in the machine will flow from the pump cover...Empty the machine first...Leaning it back can help....Good luck....Nomess

front loader washers fill accourding to how big the load size is on all front load washers.There should be no water above the center with a full load.If it is spinnig out and draining then it is working properly:)

1. Better washing than toploading as technologically proofed.
2. No extra effort except putting cloths and detergent inside. 3. No need to observe in between while washing. Start and forgot. You can go market and come back.
4. No issue if electricity or water went out during washing.
4. Take more water compare to toploading semi-automatic.
5. You can not open it once it started.

Top Loading Washing Machine: Semi
1. Save water and detergent.
2. Need extra effort to put the cloth from one box to another.


Front Loading Washing Machine: Fully automatic.

Check the motor at the bottom of the machine. Also check the timer on the unit to make sure the timer is work

"OE" is really "DE"= drain error. Clean out filter behind access door on lower left corner front panel of machine. (there will be some water in machine)
"IE" = inlet error. machine took too long to fill. clean out inlet water screens where the hoses connect onto machine.
