It is most likely the fan on the condenser coils. Spray the end with WD40. If it is the compressor, it is time for a new fridge. They can be replaced but the cost is normally prohibitive.
High pitch noises are very difficult to isolate. Since you have replaced the refrigerator, I would look for something else in the immediate vicinity that might be generating the sound.
thats not a fan noise. to me, sounds like pressure going thru an expansion valve. you better get on an appliance thread website with that one. meantime....loose mounting of condenser pipe or evaporator outlet???
hello, Is the chirping sound coming from freezer fan,the fan by the compressor,or is it from the compressor itself. If it is from one of the two fan motors and not the compressor the bearing on the fan motor is noisy and that fan motor needs to be replaced if it's from the actual compressor the compressor would need to replaced and that would be very costly while either of the two fans isnt to expensive reply with which fan is noisy and i will tell you how to replace that by yourself
Simple fix. Unplug refrigerator, locate fan, wipe clean from collected dirt etc. and spray a little WD-40 on the shaft. Spin the fan. Plug in and voila, chirp is gone.
Unplug it and see if noise stops. Leave it unplugged for at least 10 min. This will tell you if it is the fridge. Be sure and check your batteries in smoke alarms if you have any. I have made several calls for noisy appliances that ended up being smoke alarm battery warnings.
