Battery overcharge i got my Acer Iconia last month. last week my tablet showed a message asking me to update my system. it asked me to connect my charger, i did. and it shut down for the update. but the update failed and did not turn on the tablet. so i thought it was taking a long time didnt dare to turn it on cause i might interrupt the update. i left it charging for 12hours and i tried turning it on. it was overcharged. and now my battery drains fast. is there anyways i can fix this?

SOURCE: battery fails to charge completely

It sounds to me as if your battery is faulty. No way should it take 17 hours to charge. The battery is abviously not absorbing the charge and this could be because one or more cells are defunct. You can just wait until it fails completely or look at getting a replacement before this happens.

SOURCE: boot

sounds like hard disk faliure, suggest getting a new hard disk or perhaps attempt a system reinstall. Its not the fan but the hard disk.

SOURCE: My galaxy tablet was fine

You can damage the battery but it is very rare to actually do that. What you need to do is plug it in to the wall charger and leave it alone over night. At that point it should be just fine. it will actually start to show some signs of life after a few hours but don't be tempted to do anything wih it. it will first show a charge light or something after maybe 40 minutes if it is a faster charger.
If it shows no life the next day then you can try charging again but at this point you may hae a problem that requires either a battery replacement or warrenty. The battery has a microcontroller on it and when the battey gets real low they do not behave that well and typically you get the stone dead brick behaviour. And most people do not let it charge long enough to get it working. It is possible that there are other problems but those are usually moore serious and require replacement of the unit. The battery can be replaced but requires the etire case to be disassembled.
So charge it then check your warrenty and it may need serious repairs or to be replaced. If it is out of warrenty then you need to be careful on the cost verses replaceemn

SOURCE: How do I make the new iPad's battery recharge faster?

There are many things you might be doing wrong but slow battery charge is a problem with the new iPad. The battery is actually a lot bigger than the iPad 2 which means it is going to take you much longer to charge.
Use the provided charger and don't charge from your computer. It is almost twice as slow to do it plugged into a computer. Charge it at night to give it the most time to charge as possible. I usually turn it off so programs don't run and slow down the charging speed. Every little bit helps.
I can help you with other things too if you ask.

SOURCE: iPad shows blank black screen & won't turn off ~ how do I fix?

Try reseting the iPad by holding the home and power buttons simultaneously until the iPad completely shuts down and the Apple logo appears.

Once the Apple logo appears you can release the buttons. If this does not work, you may need to connect your iPad to your computer and do a factory restore using iTunes.

I HAVE AN ACER ICONIA ONE 7 TABLET. I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THEM. THIS ALSO WIRELESS. I HAVE A NETGEAR WIRELESS ROUTER. MY TABET SAYS THAT WII IS ON BUT I ANT GET IT TO UNLOCK SO THAT I CAN USE IT. ...

Your tablet may ask you for a password when you are attempting to connect to a wireless router, and it will usually be a WPS type password usually containing letters and/or numbers. You have to contact the owner of the router, or whoever set it up, to get that password - there is no other way.
If it is your router, the instruction manual will tell you how to reset it, but you should then configure a new password in the router to use to connect.

Looking for user guide

Go to acer.com click on support then download. You next need to select your device to go to its support page. Tablet, then Iconia Tab then W500P then click on image of your tablet. Under DOCUMENT scroll down to find the user manual. You have to scroll down or it doesn't show on the listing. Click on the orange download button at the left of the line listing and the zipped user manual ile will start to download. Your browser will either ask where to save this to or will put it where you have specified under browser options. I you save it to a place you can recall or to your desktop then you can extract the files usually just by clicking on them. Inside will be a pdf file which is your user manual which you will need something like Acrobat reader (free from Adobe) to use to read this file. If the second part of this works that will be the direct link to the user file and you might be able to download it using that.
