Turning the Machine On
Turning the Programme Selector to your chosen programme will turn the machine on. The Programme Selector must be returned to the OFF position between each wash cycle in order to reset the controls.
I find this an interesting requirement. Don't know if this is merely to clear all of previous program selections for a new(different) cycle or a software engineers cure-all for irreconcilable states. If OFF always before ON works, its the latter.
Suggest you always select OFF at end of cycle and see if problem goes away.
If it’s new, call warranty service.
I have a similar problem,
Have to slap the door to get it to start. I’ve changed the interlock but still the same... any suggestions? Could it be the door rather than interlock?

get your screw driver and lets start.. first unplug the machine from the outlet, you have to access the water level sitch so remove the tab and there is the bandidt, knock him with the screw driver and if this not funcion replace it..good luck I dont tell you to check the thin hose in the water level sitch becouse you said its fill all right.
SOURCE: problem with the machine.
once you have checked the door is shut properly, then i would start with the door interlock, DO NOT test by bypassing this can cause serious damage to the timer, replace if needed and work with safety unplug from power supply before removing any item taking note in detail of any wires etc
SOURCE: "Test" displays no washing done!
Your test mode is on, maybe accidently. Press "start", "cancel", "on" & "off" together for 10 secs, you will see d/off come on the display. Do the same & the test mode comes on again.

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
