Hi, I had this problem in the past and a repair man came and fixed it for me but this time I am taking care of it. The washing machine makes a noise and I am pretty sure that there is a coin somewhere in the machine. I took off the front of the machine last night but could figure out where the coin would be. I looked at the service manual and think that the coin could be in the filter. The service repair person that took the last coin out quickly but I couldn't figure out where the filter is. Could you please tell me where I should look? Thanks
There are two places a coin could be that will cause a noise. Either in the basket under the nutator or in the pump. If you hear the noise after the basket stops from the spin, look under the nutator, if you hear it during the cycle, check the pump. If you only hear the noise during the agitation, not the spin cycle, you may have a u-joint going out.
