Transfer of pics to PC from olympus camera will not transfer into "my pictures" any suggestions?

The pictures are in the internal memory? If so you need to purchase a memory card for that camera and transfer the internal memory pictures to the memory card and then you will be able to download them to the computer. Your camera takes a SD or a SDHC memory card make sure it's unlocked and formatted to the camera the instructions for formatting are in your manual

If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. You can always use a separate card reader instead of the camera for downloading pics. Then, you don't need any special software.

The 2nd link is the manual in .pdf form, and there should be a usb cable that came with your camera and if you lost the cd-rom then you can download drivers for free from the olympus support site (1st link).

If you have the latest driver downloaded so your pc can recognize the camera, first run the pic transfer program, then turn on camera, then lastly connect camera to pc via usb cable. Usually as soon as you plug in the camera it should ask if you want to transfer pictures. If it doesn't ask, then the driver probably needs to be updated or software needs to be reinstalled and pc restarted.

You may try some photo recovery software to rescue the files on your Olympus camera, here are some for your options.

Be careful: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the memory card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.

You can transfer the photos directly from the camera to the PC using the USB cable that came with the camera. You don't need to transfer the pics to memory card first.

Connect the cable to the camera and the PC. Turn on the camera and your PC will recognise it as an external storage device. Use the PC's software to transfer the photos from camera to PC.

Once you have the pics on the PC you can use the Olympus Master software included with the camera to edit and archive the photos on the PC.

You can't downoad pics directly on CD. Transfer them onto PC & burn them on CD with some burning software.
