Question about Microsoft Computers & Internet
I have an xp box with outlook express setup to send and recieve mail from my sbcglobal webmail account; works perfectly. I used the exact same configuration for my vista box with windows mail and I can't send mail. I get an smtp error message. What do I need to do different to be able to send with windows mail? Both pc's are using the same internet connection.
Window Vista also have Outlook Express.. please enter the full info for your email account..
On the E-mail Settings page, enter your email account information as follows:
Enter your first and last name.
Enter your email address.
Incoming mail server
Type for your incoming mail server.
Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
Type for your outgoing mail server.
Enter your email address again.
Enter the password you created for your email account.
After this please check for "Test Account setting"
If everything is working fine, then remove the previous account
And let us know the error message if come up any.
I hope it will resolve the problem and you will be able to use the Outlook.
