When I turn on my Vizio vt420m it freezes at the logo. I can turn it on and off with the remote and the button on the side but the tv won't go any further.

why should i tell you (fixYa) how i fixed the problem for free? You wanted to charge me for your info so i think it's only fair that i charge you for mines. I did figure out and solved the problem.

there a problem on power side.. chage the ic and the resistor going to ic and check also the signal diode.

For the 46" TV, it sounds like the main board is bad.
For the 50" Vizio: is the LED light on?

sound like the inverter circuit board problem. check & replace back same part# inverter circuit board. hopefully could help!!
