Question about Nikon Coolpix S-series
When i take a picture theimage has a series of circular lines running through it - the colouring is very yellow and the picture seems fuzzy or blurry - camera was never damaged or dropped?have tried resetting but nothing is changing -different flash selections makeimage clearer but not perfect?
What camera model are you using? Is it possible that the auto focus is turned to manual?

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

This is a defective CCD problem and will be repaired free of charge by Nikon even if the camera is out of it's original warranty. Check the link at this site: http://www.imaging-resource.com/badccds.html

There are many settings which may have been accidentally changed. I suggest that the easiest way for you to go back the factory settings would be to use the "reset" facility on the menu options. This will reset the camera to the way it was when it came from the factory. Following this, you may need to reset the date and time. Alternatively, you can leave the batteries out of the camera for a few days, and this will cause it to lose any settings, forcing a factory reset.

You will need to send it to Nikon to get the camera checked out - there is nothing user-serviceable that you can do.
Basically, you have broken it. Take more care with your expensive toys... use the strap, buy a silicone jacket, etc.
