Here is a problem... No service center to fix this box store lawn mower... If it is brand new I would take it back and get a new one because I would be willing to guess you have either a valve adjustment issue or a bad ignition coil which shouldn't be an issue with a brand new mower.

I found the problem. When I went to check the spark plug connection, the spark plug connector fell off in my hand. When I inspected it, I found that the coil wire had only been attached to the spark plug connector by one strand of the 6-8 copper strands in the coil. Having only one small strand of copper connecting the coil to the spark plug allowed for starting when cold. However when the coil conductor heated up, the increased wire resistance caused by the heat did not allow for enough spark to start the engine when warm. I replaced the spark plug connector and the engine starts with no problems
