Hey, ive tried to unlock the regions on my dvd player/surround sound, and it worked to start off with. but now it is only playing region 1 dvd's and not the orginal region 4.

A regions code error means that the player is not compatible to play a DVD from a different region than what it was designed to play. For example, if you purchased your player in the U.S. or Canada then it is a region 1 player and therefore will play DVD's from region 1.

There are however, ways around this as some manufacturers of players have made a way to be able to allow the end user to unlock the software codecs that are for different regions. You will have to search for an online source that has a download or a procedure to follow to unlock your player.
sounds like your trying to play a dvd thats not for the region setting on your dvd player dvds have differnt codes for all countrys what you need is a universal international code for your dvd player (multi reagion) ive tried to look up the code but cant find it sorry try listing for some one to help you if they have the multi region code for your player
try with the disc tray closed. and if that doesn't work turn player off by plug socket and turn back on and start from the setup menu part of the unlock code after turning player back on.
