Washer starts and completes water fill portion of cycle then turns off. I can hear timer running, but will not complete cycle. With some turns through the various cycles it will sometimes continue partway. Checked ohms on lid switch, and it checks out fine at 0, checked ohms on timer and it was at infinity on my mili-meter tester. I assume this means bad timer switch?? Also, direct drive assembly sounds "labored" since this timer problem showed up. I'm hearing a "worn out" kind of sound during spin cycle when it will run???
Any feedback is appreciated

Check the lid switch by putting a screwdriver into the lid switch hole; look at your timer duration diagram it's in the control panel a small sheet of paper taped inside Does you machine not advance mark the timer knob and, see how far the knob advances next set the timer for the agitate position and check the timer for continuity on those pins noted on the sheet
