Hcl me laptop, touchpad too sensitive, how to control?

There is an adjustment for this sensitivity go to control panel and look up the mouse if there is not icon on the tray to do any options. What your looking for in short is options in the option tick sensitivity there you can adjust it for your comfort. Locate this and your on your way. If you cannot find any touch pad information go to your manufactures web site and download the driver or software for your touch pad. It should drop to the task bar as an icon below. Or if you have the show all icons turned off turn it on it may be in there. The best way to do that is right click in the tray where the icons are and select show all icons or if you see the mouse pad icon there open it and tick options.
That is what I would do Win 7 may have loaded it but the actual configuration files may not have been downloaded, you may also wish to check out the Windows Updates and tick on all the updates you have missed you may find the software there for the mouse pad updates.
That is all I can offer maybe someone else has a better answer here. John

I have been using my laptop (Toshiba Satellite c660-115) for 8 months without a problem, but for no reason the scroll on the mouse pad has stopped working. I've not done/downloaded or installed...

Yes, you are missing something obvious. Go to "Control Panel". Look for and click on the Mouse Icon and change your settings to what you prefer.

My volume touch pad does not work correctly with my volume icon on my desktop. By this I mean: The blue lights that turn off and on when you turn down or up the volume do not work correctly. I will have it...

yes mine did that too, i believe that it has something to do with messing with the volume before the drivers load, that means that if you mess with the volume in a different operating system, during boot, at the welcome screen, or during shutdown....you miss align the pad lights with the OS volume level, so next time you shut down drop your vol. in the software to ZERO, then on startup get the touch pad to ZERO, (not mute) before windows fully loads and you login

Dell touchpad icon missing

Hello,
'Inactive icons' in the System Tray next to the time display do not display using the defaults in XP. To change this, right click over the Taskbar and choose Properties. Once you are in the Primary property page unselect "hide inactive icons." This may require you to log off or even reboot to affect this change.

Still, to get to the property pages for your Touch pad you want to enter Control Panel and then Mouse. Inside the Mouse property pages for control panel you'll see a property tab for the glide pad. Make your desired setting and then reboot. As you may already know, the scrolling function of the glide pad is accessed by drawing a finger down the far right hand side of the glide pad surface.

Hope this has helped and fixed ya.

Quickcam camera icon is missing?

Do you mean the desktop icon itself, or the taskbar icon?

If you just want the desktop icon back, navigate to "program files / logitech/ quickam" folder. Right click on the "quickcam" (it will have a pic of the eyeball camera). Click "create shortcut". Drag that shortcut icon to the desktop.

To make the the taskbar icon, make another shorcut, and drag it to the taskbar.

Good luck!
