Why do I get blurry pictures on screen even when I'm focusing.

Go to MENU. Then TOOLS. Make sure Motion Detection is in AUTO.
If that is on AUTO then Put the camera on a hard surface (like tripod) and focus and see if image is still blurry. Lastly, it is difficult to focus in some conditions. Move the focus point, you can click on the screen to change it. Blur can be caused by: long exposures, camera motion during photograph, bad conditions unable to focus.

The focus routine in this camera gets confused often. It can be frustration. It will only be in focus when it is GREEN before you shoot and the camera is not shaking. At night it can take great night shots with a TRIPOD and Exposure set to -1 to -2.

Some of my pictures are blurry using a cannon rebel 3. how can i fix this problem?

There are several possible causes for blurry pictures.
1) Camera motion. If everything is blurry, it's most likely because the camera moved while the picture was being taken. Make sure your shutter speed is fast enough if you're handholding the camera (longer lenses require faster shutter speed). Alternatively, put your camera on a stable surface, such as a tripod or a tabletop.
2) Subject motion. If the subject is blurry but the background is sharper, then the subject may have moved while the picture was being taken. Use a faster shutter speed. Raise the ISO if needed. There are limits, of course. If you're trying to photograph a fast-moving object in the dark, you probably won't be able to.
3) Improper focus. If the subject is blurry but something else in the picture is sharp, then the camera probably focused on the wrong object. Move the focus selector to the subject you want in focus. Alternatively, center the viewfinder on the subject, press the shutter button halfway to lock focus, then reframe and shoot.
Without any more specific information as to what and how your pictures are blurry, I'm afraid the above is all I can give you.

I own a Nikon D5000 and am experiencing issues with the 55x200 lens. When trying to take a picture (on auto mode) of an item that is too close, I am hearing a squeaky noise (like the noise made my a VCR...

The 55-200mm lens does not focus closer than 1.1 meters (3.6 feet). If the subject is too close, then the autofocus tries and fails to focus or keeps trying (and squeaking). Either way, you won't be able to take a picture. In manual focus, you can take a picture but it will be out of focus and blurry.

Every lens has a minimum focus distance, closer than which it will not focus. Some lenses focus closer than others. It's a matter of design; making lenses focus closer makes them larger, heavier, and more expensive.

If you want to take close-ups, you have several options. You can buy close-up adapters that fit onto the front of a lens. You can buy a special close-up lens ("macro" or "micro" lens). You can buy extension tubes to fit between the camera and a lens.

VIEW SCREEN IS SO BLURRY I CAN'T TELL WHAT ITS SHOWING.

Is it the viewfinder (that you hold up to your eye) or the screen that's blurry?
If the viewfinder is blurry, there should be a diopter adjustment to fix it, probably right above the rubber eye cup.
If the screen is blurry, you should take some pictures and video and view them on a computer. I they are sharp on the computer but blurry on the camera screen, there may be a problem with the screen and you may need to take it in for repair.
If the pictures are blurry on the computer as well, the camera may not be focusing properly. If you can't focus manually, or the camera can't focus when auto focus is turned on, you have good light, and aren't too close to your subject, then it may need to be serviced.

Blurry Pictures

Check that you have not got Macro set accidently.
If lighting level are low and the camera is selectinging a slow speed - reset to Apeture Priority -setting 'A' and and be very gentle with the release - the slightest movement will blur an image on long exposure.
Try these thing and if still introuble come back with more detail

Out of focus

How old is the set? If picture is really very blurry, Try adjusting 'focus'. You can find this conttrol generally at the rear of the set. Otherwise,. if you know solid state electronics, Check the Focus control on the FBT. It is also possible that the CTR Base is faulty. Replacing this helps.
