Hi

Paper jams can be real or false. The unit may report a paper jam when there is not any jammed paper, however, the solution to a real paper jam or a false paper jam is the same. WARNING: Jammed paper must be removed using the rear access door and the power cord must be disconnected or a carriage jam or mechanical damage may occur. Do not remove jammed paper from the front of the unit.

  1. Turn off the HP product and turn it so the back of the unit faces you.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the all-in-one. The power cord must be disconnected to allow the paper feed rollers to turn freely.
  3. Locate and open the rear access door by pressing in on the left side tab and then pulling the door toward you. Figure 1: Removing the rear access door Says Paper Jam But No Paper In It - bd842f6.jpg
  4. Inspect the pressure rollers on the rear access door and verify that they are clean and turn freely. Clean the rollers if needed with a soft towel lightly moistened with water. If the rollers do not turn freely, replace the rear access door.
  5. Inspect the pressure rollers on the rear access door and verify that they are clean and turn freely. Clean the rollers if needed with a soft towel lightly moistened with water. If the rollers do not turn freely, replace the rear access door. Click How to buy on this page to order replacement parts.
  6. From the rear access door opening, remove the jammed paper.
  7. Remove the remaining paper from the paper supply tray. Discard any paper that is damaged or crumpled and then re-stack and reload the paper into the paper supply tray.
  8. Reinstall the rear access door.
  9. Reconnect the power cord to the unit and turn the unit on. If a carriage stall occurs after clearing the paper jam, resolve the carriage stall.
Preventing paper jams The following information will help prevent paper jams from occurring:
  • When loading paper in to the paper tray, push it in until it meets first resistance. Do not continue pushing the paper in. If the paper is pushed too far in, more than one page is picked and paper jams result. This is the most common cause of paper jams with the HP Officejet 410 series.
  • Never use paper that is wrinkled or damaged in any way.
  • If you are having problems using paper that has already been printed on once, replace it with fresh paper.
  • Remove and then reinstall the rear access door. Verify that the access door is fully locked in place. The paper can skew if the rear access door isn't locked.
  • Every six months - one year, clean the paper feed rollers with a rag slightly dampened with clean water. Over time the paper feed rollers accumulate dust and do not function as well as they once did.
  • When printing envelopes, tuck the flap into the envelope and crease the folds before printing.
Please do rate the solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

SOURCE: Paper jam on HP officejet 6500

Try This :
Connect the printer directly to the wall outlet ; not through any Power strip
Then Unplug the Power cable from the back of the printer
Keep on tapping the power cable for next 30 seconds
Plug in back the power cable;
Open the rear access door and you will get to see some rollers
Clean the rollers with a Lint free cloth Moistened with some distilled water
Try to do a copy if still it doesn works
Then Unplug the Power cable from the back of the printer
With one hand press and hold down the (#) and the (6) button and with the other hand plug in back the power cable ; it will do a Semifull reset on the printer; This will take some time ; Follow the instruction on the screen;
If still it doesn't work then you need to contact HP ;
The toll free no. for HP would be : 1-800-474-6836
They will replace the printer for you free of cost (No Charge if the printer is in warranty i.e within 1 yr of purchase)

SOURCE: HP Officejet L7480 false paper jam message. Resett...

Hp paper jam error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

When i turn my ofice jet 4110 on, rhe yelow light comes on for approximately -3 seconds and is immediately replaced by the flashing red light which stays on no mattr what i try.

There are usually 2 culprits for this. Try these first and they might solve your problem.

1. ink cartridge jam - sometimes the ink cartridge is loose. just remove it and put it back.
2. paper jam (or other stuff) - sometimes some paper/paper clip/ rubber band gets jammed in the paper feed

Try also looking at the PC/laptop which it is connected to. There is a chance that a message will show the actual printer problem.

Paper will not feed; i have cleaned all the rollers

does it try to pull the paper? if doesn't check the paper sensor, if it does try to pull, you need to clean very well the "pick-up" and the under part. Try using "Thinner", it's very good!

Hope it work now.

HP Officejet 4110 doesn't print

You very well could have messed up a sensor in the printer.
These days, printers are considered "throw-away" and normally there are not any parts available to repair them.

You won't find a manual. Even printer repair shops cannot get parts.

But before you consider all lost, you could try to get a new cartridge. Otherwise, get a new printer.
