Download OS Cd for emachines E728

which operating system??????
try downloading the operating system again

SP3 is the third and final service pack released for Microsoft Windows XP, and it eliminates many of the security holes that previously affected XP. While Microsoft recommends that users download SP3 using Windows Update, some users are unable to do so. However, it's easy to create a Windows XP SP3 installation CD; it requires only that you download the pack from the website and burn it to a CD-R/DVD-R using an ISO burner program.
Download the SP3 installation ISO by visiting the first link listed in the "Resources" section of this article. Save it to your Desktop. Download ImgBurn and save it to your Desktop. Double-click the installation executable for ImgBurn and click "Next." Follow the remaining onscreen prompts and click "Finish" to complete installation of ImgBurn. Insert a blank CD-R/DVD-R into your DVD drive. Open ImgBurn by going to "Start," "Programs" and "ImgBurn." Click "File," then "Browse for a source file." Navigate to your Desktop and select the SP3 ISO file. Click "Open." Click the blue "ISO to CD" button located on the bottom left of ImgBurn. The program will begin creating the Windows XP SP3 installation CD. This process may take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes to complete depending on the speed at which the CD-R/DVD-R is being burned. Click "OK" once the CD-R/DVD-R has finished burning. You've successfully created a Windows XP SP3 installation CD.

Windows 7 instaiiation disc

http://download.cnet.com/windows-7-usb-dvd/3000-18513_4-10972600.html

When you purchase Windows 7 from Microsoft Store, you have the option to download an ISO file or compressed files.

The Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool allows you to create a copy of your Windows 7 ISO file on a USB flash drive or a DVD.

To create a bootable DVD or USB flash drive, download the ISO file and then run the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool.

Once this is done, you can install Windows 7 directly from the USB flash drive or DVD.

Hope it helps

Boot from usb

Introduction UNetbootin allows you to create bootable Live USB drives for Ubuntu, Fedora, and other Linux distributions without burning a CD. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. You can either let UNetbootin download one of the many distributions supported out-of-the-box for you, or supply your own Linux .iso file if you've already downloaded one or your preferred distribution isn't on the list.
Requirements
  • Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7, or Linux, or Mac OS X 10.5+. Note that resulting USB drives are bootable only on PCs (not on Macs).
  • Internet access for downloading a distro to install, or a pre-downloaded ISO file
Features UNetbootin can create a bootable Live USB drive, or it can make a "frugal install" on your local hard disk if you don't have a USB drive. It loads distributions either by downloading a ISO (CD image) files for you, or by using an ISO file you've already downloaded.

The current version has built-in support for automatically downloading and loading the following distributions, though installing other distributions is also supported:

Need installation cd lost original

You can usually find copies of your OS by doing a simple search on Google. Just make sure that if you search, search like this:

"Windows Vista Business 64-bit .iso"

The key is to have the OS Version correct and typing .iso at the end. You are bound to come up on a site to download a copy of it somewhere. You can usually just use the key that's on the bottom of your laptop or side of your computer to install it.

Once you download the ISO file. You can download ImgBurn. It's a freeware program to burn ISOs onto a CD/DVD.

Need to rest username ans password to log on

If this unit is a Windows7 OS, right after the power button is pressed, press the F11 button over and over until you see "repair your computer", click on that and follow the prompts to factory restore your computer. If this is a WindowsXP OS, you will need to call HP for the recovery discs, and use an external DVD drive to restore.

I have a toshiba tecra m3.i tried to install windows xp media center edition????with no joy! it keeps saying install disk 2 when i install disk 2 nothing happens , i have windows on the laptop but nothing...

First you have to know if that Windows XP Media Center is compatible with your laptop, it should be properly installed to avoid errors.

Second if you don't have drivers, you have to access the internet so you don't have any choice but to use another computer to download all the drivers for your laptop

Here's the site for your tecra laptop
