Go to this page courtesy of Dell:

Click on the box next to where it says video: and your video card is in there. Choose the Intel one to download and then install the software. If for some reason that doesn't work then you can choose ATI.

Intel DG31PR Motherboard has Intel 3 Series Chipset and you have to install the chipset drivers, which would install the PCI Drivers as well. Please visit the link given below, download the chipset drivers and install them.

The above drivers support Windows 7, Windows 2000, Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition and Windows XP Professional

Possess dell inspiron 6000 centino wireless, need drivers and xp

You can contact Dell Technical Support and see if they will send you a new XP CD. All the drivers can be downloaded at Support.dell.com for that system. If you can't get Dell to replace the CD, try Ebay. Here is an Example:

whenever i format one of my computers, when it gets to the point where you format, i format once with the normal ntfs and then right after it finishes i turn it off by holding down the power button until it shuts and then when i get back to the point where it asks about formatting again i do ntfs quick. i do all this because i had the same problem before and this is how i got past it. now the drivers. did you go to dell and download all of the drivers for your computer? whenver you format you need to get all the drivers again. i will usually use another compter to get the wireless network driver first if it has it so i can install that and then put it on a flash drive or something to get it on the other computer and install that so i can download the rest after that

Dell Inspiron 6000 with network card Intel/Pro Wireless 2200 BG

So u can connect to the router, but you arent allowet to access the internet?
The router gave your dell a new ip-number, but it dident gave you access to the net. You ned to do the settings in your router manual, let the router give your dell full access.

Good luck

Wireless internet problem

Hi

I think your Operating System (OS) software installed after formatting does not have drivers for the wireless network card.

You did not provide any clues about the OS and the Network (Model/Brand) installed.

Dell Inspiron 6000 did ship with Windows XP as the Default OS and Dell Wireless 1350, 1370, 1450,1390, 1490, and 1500 series Mini Card or Intel PRO Wireless 2200BG, 2915ABG Wireless LAN Mini Cards as options

First, check the Original System Configuration to find out the built specification of the Inspiron 6000.
Enter you system tag. Click on the Original System Configuration Tab. Check the factory built specification and note the Wireless Card installed from the factory. If you have not changed or upgraded the Wireless Card, download and install the drivers from the list below.

Dell Wireless 1350, 1370, 1450,1390, 1490, and 1500 series Mini Card Drivers
Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG / 2915ABG Wireless LAN Mini Card Drivers

I am almost sure you will need drivers for the Chipset, onboard network and video.
Intel Mobile Chipset
Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller Driver v.4.25
Video (as above check the factory spec if you ordered the ATI MobilityRadeon X300)
Intel Graphics Video (onboard) Driver v.6.14.10.4609
ATI MobilityRadeon X300 Driver v.8.162-050803a2-025823C

Let me know how you get on.

Mike
