When starting wash programme, detergent washed down but then water comes flooding out of the detergent drawer! I stopped programme, mopped up and seems that water level out of detergent drawer not dropping. Advice please as looks as though there is either a blockage into drum or maybe there is a valve stuck? - so is there an easy way to release/rectify? Many thanks!
If this is a front loader see that u use only washing powder for FRONT LOADING MACHINES. Also possible your detergent drawer is clogged with old dry detergent. Pull out the drawer and clean with tooth brush. Things shd be fine.
If this is a front loader, do open up the rear, after disconnecting from the wall socket. There is a thin tube going down from the control panel to the water exit area; disconnect this tube from the top and blow into it, air should freely flow; if not, clear this tube. Refit. This is the water level tube, it should be clear, your machine would then not flood.

Thanks, I've pulled out and cleaned drawer but I can see that water level for where water (and detergent) is fed into machine hasn't dropped so problem looks to be further down
:-(
Hi, in the end repairman came out and apparently it is a common design fault with Hoover Nextra machines to have a u bend on the black rubber pipe that feeds down from the detergent drawer into the machine. Watching what he did, the repairman folded back the rubber drum seal to access the rubber pipe which was clearly blocked with soggy soap powder so he scraped it all out and refitted pipe. No requirement to access machine from rear or to access the water level tube. Tip appears to be to use tablets in wash rather than detergent!
I have a Hoover Nextra 7 and when I put the machine on it fills up with water but a few seconds into the filling process some water comes out of the dispencer draw and sometimes when ever I select a programe sometimes it will start a differant programe! its so anoying
water and detergent in the drawer after it is finished washing
I laid it down and changed the shocks but now it won't behave.... it is as if it is in the middle of a programme but it won't stop. It turns the drum slowly but nothing changes and it runs and runs. If I turn the programme dial to top/stop it keeps on going. The progress light is intermittent but when its on it stays at the top. Nothing is inconsistent.I press the door open and nothing happens. I wondered if I'd disturbed the contents of the large rubber tube out the bottom of the drum? Maybe water from the powder drawer got into the electrics? Any ideas very welcome! Thanks!
