Dishwasher not heating

There are no error codes listed for that model. On the GS 500 error 8 is Tank Heater

Tank heating (A1) defective - safety fuse has triggered - not properly connected

Check Water supply (valve, filter, pressure)
Check that the overflow pipe is inserted

hot water form the house takes less power to bring up to machine temperature so by hooking it to cold water will increase the power consumption
call a service center and get the explanation for the error codes and that will explain what is faulty
you didn't mention the make and model of the unit and every error code appears different
for example in a fulgor milano machine code 8 is failure of orientation of distributary valve ===causes open circuit or break of distributary valve
for hoover nextra e8 is dishwasher has failed to heat with water in a reasonable time or has failed to detect the water heating element===causes check water heating element/wiring--check wiring to main control module
go google and type in-- dishwashing machine error code 8-- and see if there is any site for your machine to get the error code and causes
other than that get in a service technician for a correct diagnosis and fix

error code 01 means interrupted heating phase or no heat on final rinse if machine is heating on beginning of wash this will be a blocked transfer hose or pressure chamber need to remove left hand side panel to access and base panel to access transfer hose it will be full of food deposits messing up water fill cycles these machines will only heat correctly when wash water is at correct level. the wash perfprmance will suffer till this is done.

machine error a1 means: scanner open which is an info. You dont have to disassemble the ph!

This is no error! It indicates that the scanner is open (what you have done to replace the carts or when there is a paperjam).

It might be that the ph is clogged (mostly due to generic ink).

Run the manual cleaning procedure 3 times!

If there is no more bk /y you need a new ph.

c3 means that the temperature of the water inside the tank is higher than 60 degrees celcious.may be you have already connect the dishwasher with to much hot water or the rele inside the pcb is stuck.
