I am getting a d5 error on my samsung front load washer

All the water does not drain after the wash cycle, so it won't advance to the next stage. I tested the drainage pump and it works fine. The hose from the drum to the water level sensor is not clogged, and I cleaned the filter.

One common error with these machines Is that the water level sensor pipework has a small hole. The pipe is connected to the drum, and as the unit rotates it will cause the rubber tubing to be degraded. If a small tear appears it will cause the sensor to malfunction - when there is no negative pressure as the water drains (or vacuum) it assumes the water is still there/. Either find the tear and repair with bicyle repair kit, or if the tear is near to the sensor connector - cut off and reattach slightly shorter tube.

SOURCE: Samsung Front Load washer has odour

IMPORTANT: Read thoroughly. DO NOT add detergent or other laundry products to this cycle.
1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. If the bad odour persists, repeat the procedure 1 or 2 more times. This may be necessary if this is the first time you have run this cycle.
7. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
8. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly.
To maintain the washer freshness:
1. Use only HE High Efficiency detergent.
2. Leave the door open after each cycle to for better ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
3. Use warm / hot water in your machine unless the fabric you are washing requires cold.
4. Use the correct amount of fabric softener.
5. If your laundry room is damp, use a dehumidifier.
6. Clean the door seal of visible residue.

SOURCE: My Samsung WF218ANW/XAA front load washer will not

lefever352, I am currently trying to solve this same issue on the identical model. I removed , cleaned, and re-assembled all the water tubes and the entire pump assembly. The pump works but for some reason it is not priming into the drain tube. The pump assembly appears to have a diaphram over the outlet opening and it it looks like this might be the problem. I am still hunting the solution, BUT so far the above actions have to resolve our issue. I hope perhaps Fixya can help.

You can also check the drain pump to verify that its working. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

ND error in your Samsung Front Load washer indicates no drain issue. To start with check the drain hose for any clogs and try cleaning it, then check restriction in drain pump assembly or loose wire at the pump. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Samsung front load washing machine 5E Error code

If your Samsung washer is in the middle of a drain cycle and the 5E error code shows on your washers display, it means that the water is not properly draining out of the washer. Something may be clogged, jammed, or blocked and thus preventing water from draining out of the washer.

D5 error

Error code D5 OR DS is the same. Its mostly DS which looks like D5. The D5 error is actually DS. The code means the washer thinks the door is open or unlocked during the cycle. The door has to be checked. Is it getting properly close/open.If its getting close/open then the problem is related to faulty door locking assembly. But if its not getting proper close then there is any blockage causing the door to close or the door lock latch is faulty causing this problem.

Hope helps.

Won't drain or spin

Hi jm irons - most washer will not spin as long as the water remains inside, first thing is to check why the drain pump has not operated, water levels are controlled by the pressure switch or laymans term water level control, when water drains it closes a built in switch and enables the spin cycle circuit and machine advances to next stage of program.

My frigidaire front load washer will start a wash, complete the first cycle but then stop and flash all the lights and beep continously until I press "start" or "cancel". If I press "start" again it just...

Hello there:
If your cycle does not complete or The cycle doesn't advance
When the cycle should advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. than check the cold water supply line and the filter

Whirlpool AWM1200 washing machine wont advance at certain stages

there is a little motor in the selector switch that moves the dial around.  This little motor is defective and needs replacement.  Sometimes it's sold separately and sometimes you need the whole timer.

Error Code d5

It sound like a loose or a broken lid switch issue. The lid switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. Good luck!
