tx image set not to display - getfile.asp?rid=1258 September 11, 2008
getfile.asp?rid=3215 Product : imagePRESS C1, All Fax Capable imageRUNNER Models Title : Setting the TX Terminal ID print options Question :
What are the options to print the TX Terminal ID on received pages?

Answer :
The TX Terminal ID settings enables you to specify whether the sender information is printed at the top of every document that you send via i-fax. Information such as your i-fax address is printed, enabling the recipient to know who sent the document.

Note: If you set TX Terminal ID to 'On' you can also set the position of the Terminal ID information which is printed on the recipient's paper.

The default settings are:

TX Terminal ID: On
Printing Position: Outside
Display Destination Name: On

1) Press Additional Functions

2) Communications Settings

3) TX Settings under Common Settings.

4) Press the up or down arrow keys until you see TX Terminal ID

5) Select On or Off

If you select ON:
Select the printing position of the Terminal ID information, select 'On' or 'Off' for display Destination name, press OK.

Printing Position:
Inside: The Terminal ID information is printed inside the image area on the recipient's paper.
Outside: The Terminal ID information is printed outside the image area on the recipient's paper.

Display Destination Name
On: The destination's name registered in the Address Book is displayed in the Terminal ID information.
Off: The destination's name registered in the Address Book is not displayed in the Terminal ID information.

If you select OFF
Press OK

6) Press Done repeatedly until the Send Basic features screen appears.

Trying to scan a document to email and receiving the following error, TX Image set not to display

'make model (what it is)', in all questions please Amanda.

It all guesses, but the settings are set to not send images.

Google

make model manual

Open online manual, press CTRL+F
type 'TX Image set'.

In my experience, 'Scanning to email' is unreliable, because you are relying on the email program to recognise what is happening. Better to scan the document to a File on your computer that you make yourself ('Minolta Scans') or whatever the mystery machine is, and then open the email and insert the file.

Canon IR-adv 4035 I tried to Scan and I got a TX Report that says TX Image set not to display. How do I fix it myself?

Hi,

Please first check that your device is properly connected by checking the cables. You might need to unattach and then re-attach the cables before re-attempting the scan. If the error appears again, please shut down the canon device for 3 minutes before re-attempting the scan. Thank you.

Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C356i II not scanning?

Try reloading the Drivers and Software from the Canon website. There may be a Firmware update as well, but only do that as a last resort.

If you don't have the send button then it wont work

setting up the device for scan to e-mail
1.select * head > SYSTEM SETTINGS > NETWORK SETTINGS > E-MAIL SETTINGS. You may need to scroll down the menu to find the e-mail settings

2. Fill in the required fields, SMTP or POP settings

The e-mail address is for the recipient so they know where the scan-e-mail come from e.g [email protected]
The server address settings are important.

3.Go back to send screen to add e-mail address and test

Restart device may help sometime after changing device settings:) Good Luck

What is a tx function

tx is shorthand for transmit, rx is for receive - used since the days of the telegraph.

I am not an expert about such matters but I think a scanned image first needs to be stored in an on-computer file and then attached to an email by using the browse function from the email compose box.

Cannon s 500 Picture with Just lines

Hi,
This is a known issue with Canon, it's mentioned on their support pages, FAQ ID: 37383. Horizontal lines appear in the preview picture once the photo is taken. I have a Canon Ixus 500 and I rang Canon UK and they gave me a case number and list of authorised dealers via email for a free repair.
Hope this helps
