Use a flashlight on the screen when it goes black. If you can see a faint picture then the board that controls the back light has gone bad. If you see no picture then the T-Con board is bad. You can get replacement parts here: TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy and fix the TV yourself. It's not that difficult.

I would go to menu on the remote , from there to picture go down the list, if you do not find anything there to help you. Go to Support and to the E manual .

The T con board is faulty. It is the board with flat ribbon cables going to the bottom of the screen. It is not hard to replace this board. You can get one from here:

Using HDMI? Could be the cable's issue. If not, try switching input channels and see if you at least get some UI on the TV. If the screen is completely blacked out then it's probably something you can't fix yourself. Then you'll need a mechanic. Or a new tv actually.

If TV menu comes on try another source via hdmi could be a source issue with hdcp or copy guard issues. Sound isn't copy guarded but picture is.
