When i put a movie in the player it wont show
See this i windows, it tell what drive is there
then from this fact we move top a cure.
to view the movie, this is best and free google it./
then load free VLC and it plays.
If this is the cause for DVD not playing on your HP laptop, fix it through: Change DVD region in Windows 10: Search and open Device Manager > Expand DVD/CD-ROM drives, right-click on your DVD player and select Properties > click on DVD Region tab, select the region in whicj you want to change to and click OK.

all DVD fail , no just one try 2 or more.
bad drive
bad media DVD,., like cracked or scratched.
wrong region
or PC only does CD-roms
nobody can read your hDD label.
or using DVD-R media in DVD-rom drive that can read cloned copies of dvd-r disks.
no drive model told this ends.
in device manager does the DVD drive show up thee.(it must) and if does does the driver software look goo there, try doing driver update?
does the DVD show up, in explorer. as Files, it must. if not try CD disk, and see if files show up in explorer. a setup disk.
or play CD_DA music disk?does that play?
run HWinfo32.exe free (google it) see what it tells about this drive, it will tell all about it and what it can do.
