Take a small flash light and see if there is a part of a memory card in there, if there is cleaning it out would solve the problem. Also make sure you're putting the memory card in the right way. I've you've done that and it's still giving you problems try going into the menu's and formatting the memory card in the camera.

When i put insert lexor multi use into my fujifilm camera message 'protected card' with exclamation mark on screen. I am unable to take photos. Why?

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

My Fujifilm Z20 is saying protected card? How do I correct this? Thanks, Don

SD cards have a little slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Card error

It might want you to format the card in the camera. Download the pictures first using a cardreader if necessary.

SD card Protected

It sounds like the tiny locking switch on the SD card has accidently been set to "lock". Remove the card from the camera and slide the switch to the opposite position. That should do it.

My Camrea tells me that the card is protected

Before inserting your SD memory card, slide the write-switch to unlock position. Insert the SD card, go to ‘setup menu’, then ‘format’ , format the SD card. All pictures will be erased. Refer your manual on page 87.
