Hello msi n1996 is not a genuine msi board. This mainboard was made for HP/COMPAQ as a OEM product, and some other manufactures including the brand: MEDION.
There is no drivers to be found at the msi site.
You have to visit the manufactures site of the pc, not the mainboard.
The HP site is here:
http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.htmlEnter the pc model number, or sku number from the back of the pc.
There could be different drivers for the graphic, depending of the manufacture of the graphic card. It could be a nvidia or a intel driver.
Visit intel here:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/And run the driver update utility.
Try also to install Speccy:
http://www.piriform.com/speccy/downloadTo find out what graphic card that are installed on the mainboard.
An easyer way to make the graphic work, is to install a graphic card on the mainboard, in the AGP slot.
Just make sure you have the driver for your windows system.
A second helpfull option could be installing this software:
http://www.driveridentifier.com/ And run the program, for a driver seach.
But you have to create a user profile, and a valid email address, to download the driver.
Hope this will help you
