TV screen has 2 different shades horizontally

I have an Emerson LC320EM82 and it has a darker shade in the bottom 1/3 of the screen. When there is a white or light picture you cant tell, but most of the time you can see it drastically. It just started doing this recently.

Probably one of the backlights have faulted

Some models are fairly simple, however you do need to strip it right back to get to them, you also need to make sure you fit the correct part so you don't damage the inverter

My LED TV started displaying a darker area, about the top third of the screen about three weeks ago. Today it went black. What might be the problem?

This sounds like a heat build up in the TV set if not ventilated properly it causes the shading effect on the screen coating causing the dark area eventually it takes over the whole screen

Samsung UN40D6000SFXZA TV has blue screen with vertical lines of various shades of blue.

You may try a new T-CON, but most of the problem could be a display panel.

Digihome 32865 tv fault horizontal line and shading 6 inches from bottom

If you wish to get some details; check the sites linked here.

Faults & possible causes to LCD screen are given with illustrations. You can get an idea about the fault. Search the site by type in the Brand Name of your set, in its search bar at the right side column, and press enter. See it in by Webview with mobile or by desktop. Mobile View has no search box. Screen-shots to defective LCD panels are given. You can see and compare to that to your TVs', and can make sure about the fault to an extent.

Started with one thin horizontal black line, then 3 shades over screen, now only static picture

Check and replace its back light CCFL lamps. If these are faulty, this kind of fault can occur. When replace it, replace all. None one or two. If you wish to get more details about the back light CCFL lamps and its working, check this link. Pull up older posts there.http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

It feels and looks cakey on skin! and looks different in shade when blended on skin then from the jar!

Where did you buy it? Possibly you can return it, if you bought it at a big retailer like Target or Walmart, they'll give you dirty looks but let you return it. Buying foundation is very very difficult... a few guidelines - (1) you need different shades for different seasons because your skins (all types) tans; (2) throw it away as soon as it gets old, that adds to the cakey look and the shade different - best tell tale sign that it's too old is it will look orangey (yuck!); (3) I know this is so gross... but you've gotta do it, it's why they have testers out... take some of the foundation and put it on the interior of your wrist, best bet to go to a very clean store - we know not all locations of Target/Walmart/Walgreens are the same... don't buy yet, you've got to go outside in sunlight and look at the color ... how should it look? good, but slightly darker than your wrist.. why use your wrist? 'Cause you don't know who else has been touching that stuff! Good luck, please let us know how it goes!

Uneven flash

Look carefully at your images taken with flash... on the horizontal image is the lower part of the image slighty darker and have a rounded fall off at the edges? Is the vertical image dark side a straight hard line or is there a rounding to the top and bottom?

What we are looking at is if you have a very wide angle lens with the lens shade attached to the lens, then the built-in flash catches part of the lens shade and make a shadow on your subject... take the lens shade off and try the same shot and see if that makes a difference...

Have a great day...
