The "RTC chip" is an integrated circuit that provides the R(eal) T(ime) C(lock) functionality. If your device cannot keep the correct date & time, it's time to replace it.

To reboot, turn the device off, and then remove the battery.
Wait 60 seconds, reinsert the battery, and turn the device on.

place thermal paper roll
pull the end of paper roll over the printer
and
close the lid.
tear off excess paper

You'd need to have the software from Verifone. The processors already have the software thats how they do it.

In the verifone file groups you have to delete *ZT and *ZRESP fields add *ZB Value is 1000 and *ZINIT Value to AT%C1\N3\V2.Let me know if you need help.
