My digital camera is a Traveller IS 12. It was working fine with the delivered software on my former computer with OS Windows XP. But my new computer is working with OS Windows 7 and the software is not working anymore. I suppose that there are no drivers for this camera and Windows 7. What can i do? Thanks for any help.

Using Windows XP Mode, you can run programs that were designed for Windows XP on computers running Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate... Go here (microsoft web site) to find out how to ... It's not super easy, but neither is very hard to do.

SOURCE: My C3030 digital Camera won't work w/Windows XP

The C3000(which I have) and C3030 are not directly supported by any version of Windows. You must either use the Camedia software to access the camera(via USB connection) or use an external Smartmedia card reader like a ZIO(I have one, it works great). Camedia 2.0 will work(with XP) but it will not allow you to select more than one picture at a time to download from the camera. I have heard that Camedia 2.5 fixes this problem with XP and it is available for purchase from the Olympus website. I decided to get the card reader instead of the new version of Camedia because I use Photoshop to do my editing. I believe only the latest Oly cameras(like the 3020) have direct support under XP. By this I mean when you connect the camera to the PC it shows up as a new drive letter. Hope this helps.

Just buy an inexpensive card reader and use it to download your pics to your computer. It's easy.

How to install GE E1255W Digital Camera driver for Windows 7?

You don't need a driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa.

Powershot A470. used to be able to download pics with no prob to my computer. Got a new pc Samsung with windows 7 (RV510) but for some reason it cant download to my old pc either.. just seems its not...

Windows7 usually use x64 bit system operation, drivers which run in windows XP or Vista can be uninstallable in Windows 7 because XP and Vista use x32 bit system operation (except certain series).
See your OS from Device Manager (Windows+PauseBreak > Device Manager), 32 bit or 64 bit. Then you can download the driver compatible with your OS from here :

I need the software to run it.

The manual and driver for supported OS versions are here: http://www.dxgusa.com/downloads . The manuals for all of their cameras are listed first and then the drivers. They are listed in order so the DXG-572V driver is in the third line, third from the right of the driver section.

The driver may not have been updated from the original which for Windows XP/ME/2000/98SE. In Windows Vista 32-bit the driver may work or the correct driver may be in the OS. For Windows 7 32-bit, use the driver built into the OS. (Microsoft's compatibility center provided the information.)

With the 64-bit versions of these newer versions of Windows, the compatibility is unknown. However, the driver from the DXG site will probably not work without the compatibility mode, if it works at all. For compatibility mode, right click on the exe file and choose Properties, select the Compatibility tab and set it to run as Compatible with an older version of Windows. Then right click and Run as Administrator. Otherwise, keep it on a computer with the older OS, use a dual boot with the older OS or a virtual computer with an older version of Windows. With Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can use the XP mode for a free virtual computer. (Download and install Microsoft's Virtual PC and then XP mode; install the camera to the virtual computer.) All other methods will need a licensed version of an older version of Windows. The only issue with the virtual computer is that files can't be shared between the two computers directly. Put them on external or optical media to share them with the real computer.

I hope this helps.

I have just bought a new computer running Windows 7 OS and I can not seem to use my camera on this system. I did install it on a computer running Windows 98 successfully. Do I need to install a new driver?...

Yes, you will need an updated driver for the camera to operate it on a Windows 7 system. Unfortunately, Casio does not list a Windows 7 driver for the EX-Z40. At this point your only recourse to to email Casio via the link below or call them at 1-800-435-77332.
