LG WN1832CW does not fill with water

I tried to start a load of laundry this morning and the the washer would not fill with water. Everything power's on ok, and looks like normal, the motor starts to turn over the clothes, but no water enters the machine. I've taken the hoses off, and have confirmed that water still comes out of the pipes.

the system which controls water level is an air chamber with a small diameter pipe which goes to a pressure stat. when the correct level is reached, the pressure in the air chamber switches the pressure stat and cuts the water off. the things to look for are: gunge in the air chamber split in the pipe. faulty pressure stat to test, get a similiar length of small diameter pipe and connect it to the pressure stat instead. with the machine filling, blow gently into the pipe and see if the water intake cuts off

SOURCE: LG front loader problem

If you remove the top cover you will see the soap dispenser unit on the left. It has a large rubber hose connecting it to the drum. If you remove two screws at the front you can free the dispenser for maintenance. You can undo the clips on the various hoses and check that they are clean.

Some people report some dripping from the soap dispenser even when the hose is unblocked. This seems to be a design fault.

Fixed!

"LE" code Stator/Motor Error.

It was a simple fix and only cost $17.68 at PartStore.com no affiliation.

Here is the Service Manual

Bonus, it actually completes a wash cycle and does not stick at 6 minutes, drying forever.

Freakin service tech stated it was the Power Control Board, IDIOT!

While I was in there, I cleaned out the heater blower assembly and sensors. They were full of caked on lint and the sensors had debris all over them.

Also cleaned out all the lint and debris around the rubber seal, this will eliminate those annoying mildew oders.

Hope this helps someone, Happy New Year!

SOURCE: LG FRONT LOAD WASHER WON'T SPIN OR DRAIN

Pretty easy fix with a couple of strong backs. Get some pillows, lay machine on its side opposite of the lint door so pump can be seen from bottom. Unscrew cover, then 2 remaining screws that hold pump assy to machine frame. 3 screws hold motor to pump housing that is now pretty easy to get to. mark wires and disconnect. My guess is once you have motor out yo will likely find an offending coin or something. What happens is lint screen eventually needs cleaned, but something like a coin will rest on top of it and when you remove screen by default it will fall into tube to the pump, just has no where else to go, and it's a murphys law thing. Since pump is brushless, the coin likely does no harm except mess up your day, Reverse process, Wash away

SOURCE: I have an LG Tromm WM2277HW front load washing

Escaping water alongside a nasty smell is often the cause of a blocked water pump or resivour the more washs you do the more the lint will build up & the more the lint builds up the more bloked it will become meening the more water that will escape.. this should be an easy fix but not for everyone.. 1st make sure you have disconected all the power supply then check any or all filters you may have after that you will need to look inside to find the water resivour this will be a plastic bottle shaped for your machine just looking at it you will be able to tell if it has a lint or limescale build up if so it will need removing & flushing out.. there may also be an extra filter at the bottom front of your machine if you open this some water will leak out & you will be able to see if you have a lint build up (this will also have the best of your nasty smell in it) the smell is an effect simular to doing a wash & leaving the cloths in the machine for a few days basicly the lint is submerged in water for long periods of time giving it that smell once cleaned out the smell will subside too

Hope this helps

Why does my Agitator starts but water don't run into tub

Good Morning Louis,

I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire top load stacked washer and dryer, model# FEX831CS, not getting any water into the tub even though the agitator is moving. There are a couple of things we can try.

1)Make sure that the water is adequate in the area where your laundry center is located. Check another faucet in the house. Wait until the water supply and pressure increase.

2)Make sure the water supply faucets are completely open. Both the hot and cold.

3)There could be water running elsewhere in your home. The water pressure must be at least 30 PSI going into your washer. Try to avoid running water elsewhere while your washer is filling.

4)Make sure that the water inlet hoses are not kinked. If they are, straighten them out.

5)Try selecting a larger cycle for your load size. This might show the water coming in more.

6)Make sure that you have not overloaded your washer.

If you have tried all of these with no success, try resetting your washer by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. Once power has been restored to your washer, try running any cycle. If you are still having trouble with water not coming into your washer, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your washer and determine what is causing the water to not enter into your appliance. Hope this is helpful.

    -Best Regards-

Water sensor not working. Started a load of Laundry and the water did not shut off therefore flooding my whole Laundry room. How can I fix this myself?

Hello,

Their are 2 possibilites causing it to overflow

1) the water inlet valve that the hoses from the house plumbing attach to is sticking open, when it sticks it will stick open regardless if thier is power to the machine or not,so to determine if that is the problem, start the washer and quickly unplug or turn off circuit breaker ,if the water continues to fill, that valve is sticking,it is what to replaced

2) the water level switch is defective,do the same as far as starting it,if the fill stops when power disconected it's the water level switch that is in need of replacement

Good luck, i hope this helps

Front-load washer doesn't clean!

I don't know anyone who thinks the front loader is better except for stacking things on top of...

Certainly the performance of the modern water-saving front-loader is questionable when compared to earlier models - which is why I think a wash takes much longer these days with a modern machine, I think it has to in order to be effective. My friend's new front loader can take a couple of hours to complete a programme and it is only a washer and not a waser/drier.

The older washers used to take everything that could be pushed inside and the laundry would emerge smiling. These days overloading is a complete taboo and should be weighed to ensure nothing is strained.

Your washer might have a fault but in the final analysis you made a contract with a retailer to, in return for a consideration, supply you with a washer to clean your laundry. The supplied washer doesn't clean the laundry in spite of your best efforts and that means the retailer has broken the contract. It is up to him to sort matters out to your satisfaction.

LG front load washing machine will not spin

I am having the same problem with my washer. Go to this web site below it has a free troubleshooting guide. I narrowed my washer machine down to two parts. Stator assy or Main PWB assy.
