The phones led light will flash green when you have a new message or a missed call. After reading the new message/missed call, the flashing will stop. hope this helps
M7310 does not have a red light. And even if it did you answered your own question....you left that phone a message so now it flashes to let that person know they have a message. F65 to see who left message F#65 to clear MSG and/or light.
For the green light, you can turn it off from DSS. On the bottom left hand side of DSS, it is a message button. You can press the button and then your extension button. The green light will go away from the DSS and on your phone. I hope this helps.
