DE error code on LG washing machine

DE is door error on Samsung washer
means door is not locking
door lock or main PCB Door lock is the cheapest of the 2

if its front loader door swich is there,,but toploader no door swich but with main pcb having sensor,,locking with door lid with megnet,,,

dE for LG does the spring of latch hook actuate? no> fix door latch Yes> is there clicking sound once or twice when the start/pause button is pressed to start the cycle? No> check door switch and main PWB Assemblyhope that helps..
OE is Drain Error.

Thanks for using FixYa. DE is a door open error, you’ll have to check the door if it’s properly closed. Also check loose electrical connections at the door switch and PWB assembly. de error code means the door is open. If code does not clear when door shut then could be door interlock or main pcb fault

* Loose electrical connections at door switch and pwb assembly.
* Door switch assembly is out of order
* Gasket on door may be creased in


Ok. You have stated that the unit is attempting to lock the door, but it is not locking. There are two click, then the error code illuminates the DE code. This is common when the control cannot initiate a door lock sequence. The cause will be a failed door lock mechanism, and it will require you to replace this mechanism asap, if possible. The actuator has failed. Replacing the door switch mechanism, will correct this issue.

Most common issue here will be a defective door lock switch. check all causes before replacing the switch.

A DE Error Code is indicative of a “Door Error”. This indicates that the washing machine door is not shutting, locking or opening. This means that there is something faulty with the door switch and locking mechanism . You should get this replaced or you may have water where you do not want it. biigg53566

That is a door switch error problem.  The door latch is not sensing the door closed.  You may need to replace the door latch assembly.
